Srinagar: The Altaf Bukhari-led Jammu and Kashmir Apni Party (JKAP) has expressed its resentment over the worsened power scenario coupled with the scarcity of potable water supply to the commoner across Jammu and Kashmir for a considerable period of time now.

The party Chief Spokesperson Javaid Hassan Beigh, lamenting the impending issues alleged the authorities of a lackadaisical approach towards the imminent issues being faced by the people across the length and breadth of Valley.

“The availability of electricity and water have been two pressing issues of the people of Jammu and Kashmir for a long now and the demand for both of these goes up by manifolds in summer, however, the authorities concerned are least bothered to take workable measures to see an end to the miseries faced by the people,” Beigh said.

“These issues have a direct impact on the well-being and quality of life of our people and it as such is our responsibility to ensure that their basic needs of the people, who otherwise are made to pay bills without a break, are well-catered, apt to say to their satisfaction,” he said.

“The patient-care and education sector have been facing the maximum burnt in the absence of planned electricity schedule,” Beigh said, adding despite time-to-time representations by the people, things are only worsening over a period of time now.

The senior politician urged LG Manoj Sinha to take notice of the issues for an early redressal to mitigate the sufferings of the people across Jammu and Kashmir.

“It is imperative that the administration takes these concerns seriously and demonstrates a proactive approach and a genuine commitment to the welfare of our people,” Beigh further said.
