NOIDA: Lauding Prime Minister Narendra Modi for making unbelievable believable, Senior BJP leader Devender Singh Rana today said the abrogation of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir testifies to the time-tested assertion of ‘Modi Hai Tu Mumkin Hai’.

 “Generations after generation kept wondering whether this constitutional provision will be revoked but it happened during our lifetime,” Mr Rana said during a press briefing at Noida in Gautam Budh Nagar Lok Sabha Constituency, as part of marking the nine years of the Narendra Modi Government.

He is, currently on a tour of several Lok Sabha Constituencies as part of the BJP’s massive public outreach programme, and had a hectic day with interaction with the prominent industrialists of Noida. He also addressed the Social Media Volunteer Conference.

Rana was accompanied by Member Parliament Mahesh Sharma, former Union Minister, Rajya Sabha MP Surinder Nagar, BJP District Presidents of Gautam Budh Nagar Parliamentary Constituency, and others.

He said the political developments of August 5, 2019, have transformed Jammu and Kashmir with stone pelting, shut-downs, and sloganeering becoming a horrendous past and normalcy paving the way for massive tourism and economic activity. “Militancy has witnessed a decline.” He said the situation has totally changed and it proved all those leaders wrong who had warned that blood will spill on roads if the special status granted to J&K was touched. “But instead of that peace has returned to the Valley fast and development is getting pace. With record 1.8 million tourists thronging from various parts of the country last year, Jammu and Kashmir is expecting two crore nature, adventure, and pilgrim tourists this year,” he said.

Referring to the vistas of opportunities available to the people of Jammu and Kashmir, he said post Article 370 abrogation 890 central laws have been implemented in the UT covering all segments of the society while 250 obsolete laws stand scrapped now.

 Rana said J&K is witnessing unprecedented holistic and inclusive development while investments for creating infrastructure are pouring in which will give a big boost to growth and job generation. He said the visionary policies of the Prime Minister has manifested in the most successful conduct of the G20 Working Group on Tourism in Srinagar, notwithstanding the machination of inimical elements, especially Pakistan. He made a mention of the hoarse created by Pakistan Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto against the hosting of the international conference in the Valley and said the enthusiastic response of Kashmiris to the conclave made him lick the dust. “The conclave was followed by yet another big event of Kheer Bhawani Mela, which witnessed the arrival of record 28,000 people, mostly Kashmiri Pandits to pay obeisance at the historic shrine.”

Devender Rana also gave an overview of the achievements registered across the country during nine years of the Prime Minister’s responsive governance with the objective of Seva Sushaasan Samarpan aur Garib Kalyan saying the construction of National Highways in 2013-14 was 91287 kms which stands 143240 kms at present, construction grew from 12 km/day in 2014 to 29 km/day in 2021–2022. “There were 70 airports in 2013-14 whose strength has risen to 148 now which is more than double in nine years. Similarly, there were eight AIIMS in 2013-14 whose number is now 16. In 2014 there were 614 medical colleges in the country having a capacity of 82486 medical seats while the number of medical colleges in the country rose to 1341 during the last nine years of Modi Government and the seats increased to 1,52,129,” he added.

Rana said that between 2014 and 2023, the number of universities in the country has increased significantly, from 723 to 1113. “Additionally, 5,298 new colleges have been constructed in the past nine years (from 38,498 in 2014 to 43,796 in 2023), improving student access to education across the nation. Notably, 61.4 percent of colleges and 43 percent of universities are found in rural areas. Additionally, the Modi administration has made sure that students have improved chances thanks to the construction of 7 IITs and 7 IIMs over the past 9 years,” he added.

He said the valor of Indian security forces gave a befitting reply to China in Galwan, Ladakh.

Devender Rana spelled out sector-wise achievements and said India has gained huge grandeur across the world, which looks towards the Prime Minister with hope.

“The day is not far when India will emerge as Vishwa Guru and the mere thought of this instills a sense of pride among the compatriots,” he added
