JKPSCC deputation calls on Zulfkar

JAMMU, MAY 27: A deputation of Jammu and Kashmir Private Schools Coordination Committee (JKPSCC) today called on Minister for School Education, Haj & Auqaf and Tribal Affairs, Chowdhary Zulfkar Ali and apprised him of various issues concerning the private schools.

The deputation led by its working president Dr Hari Dutt Shishu highlighted several issues which includes common order of recognition and affiliation of private schools, smoothen the process of re-inspection of schools for extension of affiliation , remedial classes for 10th,11th and 12th during summer vacations and others.

The Minister gave patient hearing to the delegation and assured that all the highlighted issues would be looked into and redressed appropriately.

Chowdhary Zulfkar Ali informed that a committee headed by Chairman JKBOSE has already been constituted to adopt uniform curriculum in all schools including private educational institutions. He expressed that uniformity will put students from different backgrounds at par with each other with no disparity on account of curriculum.

Appreciating the role of private schools in the society, Zulfkar said that private schools are doing yeoman job by providing quality education to the students and also improve the overall scenario of the education sector.

He further said that government will extend the Super50 coaching programme to private schools depending upon the facilities provided by the private schools, as per the infrastructure it have, and as per the quality of staff working in it.
