Mushtaq’s 65 run knock help Kakinmarn to beat Gariend Kallan by 15 runs

Budgam: Hosts Kaknimaran on Sunday knocked out Gariend Kallan from the ongoing Ramzan tournament after defeating them with 15 runs here at Kaknimaran.

After winning the toss, Gariend Kallan asked rivals to bat first which proved favourable for Kakinmaran setting the target of 127-9 in allotted 15 overs.

In reply, Gariend Kallan could not chase the target. They were restricted on 112-8 by the tight bowling and fielding of Kakinmaran.

At one time 100 looked tough, but Mushtaq for Kakinmaran slammed an unbeaten 32-ball 75 runs to post a total of 127. He also claimed 3 wickets.

For Gariend Kallan, Kounsar with 25 runs remained a leading run scorer. While Abbas and Aasif took 3 wickets each.

In the second match of the day, Katipora overpowered Dandhosa by 23 runs.

After losing the toss, Katipora was invited to bat first, which set a target of 119-8 in 15 overs.

In reply, superb bowling of Katipora restricted Dandhosa on 96-9.

For Katipora, Shahnawaz, Muzammil and Fayaz scored 24, 22, and 21 runs respectively. While Imtiyaz took 3 and Showkat 2 wickets.

For Dandhosa, Tasaduq scored 30 run and Sameer 18, but could not help their team to chase the target.
