Congress holds protest against misrule, wrong policies of Centre Govt

Srinagar May 26.  The J&K Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) today held protest demonstrations against the ‘anti-people and wrong policies’ adopted by BJP Govt at Centre, describing the four years of Narinder Modi Govt as ‘full of lies and betrayals.’

The Party leaders and workers led by Taj Mohi U Din held protest demonstrations at Srinagar’s M.A Road, raising slogans against the failures and anti-people policies adopted by the BJP Govt at Centre. The party workers displayed placards highlighting the failures of Centre and State Govt.

Earlier, Taj Mohi U Din presided over a meeting of senior party functionaries and activists at PCC Office, slamming the irresponsible and indifferent behavior of the Govt towards the people, a party spokesman said in a statement issued here.

He said BJP has betrayed people in the country after coming into power.

He said BJP is celebrating the completion of four years in power to mislead the masses, for the fact, this party especially PM Narinder Modi was responsible for the crisis in the country, price hike of essentials especially petrol and diesel, rising unemployment, demonetization and pro industrialist policies on the part of PM will remain the source behind agony and anguish of the people.

“The erosion of democratic intuitions to grab power has severely damaged the democratic set up in the country,” Taj said and added, Congress party is capable enough to safeguard the democratic institutions of the country and will continue to struggle to bring the people out of the morass created by BJP.

On this occasion, he launched a scathing attack on State Govt also, describing it as the hallmark of betrayal and backstabbing.

Similarly protest demonstration were held by District Congress Committee Kupwara, which was led by District President Haji Farooq Mir, the spokesman said.
