Motivate farmers to adopt proposed interventions in approved projects under HADP: Dir Agri asks officers

SRINAGAR: To monitor the ongoing Kisan Sampark Abhiyan (farmers’ orientation program) under Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP), the Director of Agriculture Kashmir Chowdhury Mohammad Iqbal today visited different areas of Anantnag district.

The Director of Agriculture held meeting with the farmers of different areas and took feedback from them regarding various departmental activities.

Addressing Kissan Sampark Abhiyan at Duroo Dalwash Anantnag, the Director of Agriculture stressed upon the concerned officers to give the program-wide publicity so that mass participation of the farming community can be assured.

He asked the officers to aware the farmers about modern tools and techniques that have been incorporated in HADP to overcome the prevailing constraints and use different extension methods to motivate the farming community to adopt proposed interventions in the approved projects.

The director of Agriculture assured all the possible help from the department for the successful implementation of the program in all the districts, to uplift the livelihood of the farming community.

He marked the role of PRIs in the successful implementation of different programmes at the grassroots level. He asked the officer to work in close coordination with the representatives of Panchayat Raj Institutions so that the said targets under different schemes could be achieved in a comprehensive manner

The director of Agriculture was accompanied by Chief Agriculture Officer Anantnag, Ajaz Hussain Dar; the District Agriculture Officer, the District Agriculture Officer Extension, and other senior officers of the department.
