Srinagar: Police in Gulmarg arrested a fraudster involved in selling fake Gondola tickets in Gulmarg.
Police Station Gulmarg had received a written complaint from Manager Gulmarg Gondola, wherein he stated that a ticket-checker caught two tourists with fake gondola tickets. On inquiry, the tourists stated that the tourist guide has sold them these tickets at a cost of Rs 2500 per ticket.
Accordingly, a case was registered in Police Station Gulmarg, and during the investigation, a tourist guide identified as Aashiq Hussain Magray, son of Abdul Rashid Magray of Shrai Tangmarg was arrested. During the investigation, it came forth that the fraudster would pre-book Gondola tickets and then sell them to gullible tourists at exorbitant rates, police said.
