SRINAGAR, MAY 24: Waheed-Ur-Rehman Parra, Secretary, J&K State Sports Council, called on Governor N.N. Vohra at the Raj Bhavan today and briefed him about the activities being undertaken to foster the sports culture in the State.
Emphasizing the crucial importance of games and sports to promote balanced personality development of youth, Governor advised Parra to take all possible steps to augment the sports infrastructure in all the districts of the State and promote inter-State level championships to provide opportunities to the J&K youth to enhance their skills. Governor assured Parra of help to mobilize a larger corpus of funds for the Sports Council.
