Dr Samoon reviews grievances registered on JKIGRAMS regarding SDD

JAMMU: Principal Secretary, Skill Development Department (SDD), Dr Asgar Hassan Samoon, today chaired a meeting to review progress on works being executed in Polytechnic and ITIs under Capex Budget/Centrally Sponsored Schemes 2022-23.

Threadbare discussion was held on the latest district-wise detail regarding both physical and financial progress achieved on several works being executed Polytechnics and ITIs under CSSs and CAPEX Budget 2022-23.

Principal Secretary asked the concerned to accelerate the pace of progress on works to ensure timely completion with full utilization of funds earmarked under Capex Budget 2022-23. He also asked the concerned to submit the proposal for re-appropriation of funds in respect of the works and projects which can be completed before 31st of March, 2023 as per the instructions of the Finance Department.

Regarding the establishment of Small Business Development Units (SBDUs) in various Polytechnics and ITIs of J&K, Dr Samoon asked the officers to identify the space for the facility and ensure all arrangements like furniture and IT-related equipment are made available there for effective functioning.

He also asked the officers to formulate and prepare Capex Budget 2023-24 in time.

The meeting was attended by Director SDD, Sudershan Kumar, Special Secretary, SDD, Mohammad Ashraf Bhat, Financial Advisor, JD Planning, DDP besides all concerned Principals and Superintendents of Government Polytechnics, ITIs, and other concerned officers in person and through virtual mode.
