Srinagar: Police on Wednesday informed that they have arrested a drug-peddler in Kulgam and recovered contraband substance from his possession.
A police party during routine checking at Bogund Kulgam intercepted a suspicious person and recovered around one kilogram of cannabis-like substance from his possession, police said.
Identified as Majaz Ahmad Dar alias Boya, son of Manzoor Ahmad Dar of Bogund, the accused has been arrested and shifted to police station where he remains in custody. A case has also been registered and further investigation taken up.
