A JKLF spokesman said in a statement that Malik in his message said that the best tribute to be offered to these great sons of soil is to safeguard unity and oneness among the ranks and files of resistance camp.

“JKLF chairman said that the freedom struggle of Kashmiris is adorned with the blood of martyrs and therefore no power on earth can defeat it by oppressive measures,” the spokesman quoted Malik as saying.

Describing Lone as his teacher, Malik said that he has learnt a lot of things from him and even today “I take him as my teacher and feel proud to be his student”.

Remembering the struggle and sacrifices of Mirwaiz, Malik said that he belonged to a family that has always inspired Kashmiris and led this nation in the fields of politics, education, religion and many other walks of life.
