Populace along border areas living in miserable conditions: Nasir
FacebookTwitterWhatsapp

Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference Provincial President Nasir Aslam Wani on Saturday said problems like lack of basic amenities, unemployment, and administrative inertia is forcing people living along border areas to live in miserable conditions.

Addressing a series of worker meetings at various places in Kupwara, Nasir said, “Villages across Kupwara depict the indifferent attitude of the administration with lack of basic public utility services and proper drainage looming large. It seems that these villages have been removed from the developmental map. No attention is being paid to the public demands with regards to augmentation of basic facilities and upgradation of connectivity much to the disappointment of the residents of this village.”

He said that it’s only JKNC that has the vision to put the interests of the people above anything else. “Local people, whose developmental needs have been neglected by previous governments and representatives have set their eyes on NC for bringing a positive change into their lives. Forces inimical to our political and developmental aspirations will suffer a big setback in rural constituencies over the issue of horticulture distress, declining profitability in trade, unemployment, and rising costs.”

“The perceived credibility gap between what our adversaries say and what they do will play an important role in the upcoming elections. On the contrary, our leadership has credibility. We have earned the goodwill of people on account of our good work,” he said.
