While addressing the convention, Abdul Gani Vakil, said that Jammu Kashmir Peoples Conference will always fight to ensure equitable development of all the regions of Jammu and Kashmir and strive to strengthen the bonds of unity and integrity of the J&K which is the need of the hour.

Vakil described the political situation in J&K as quite fluid where good governance, transparency, and accountability are missing from the scene and said that the administration is behaving like a mute spectator to the miseries of the people. “Unemployment is at an all-time high and it is shocking in this LG-led Admin recruitments are nowhere but recruitment scams are at an all-time high,” he added.

While addressing the gathering Vakil urged the UT administration and Central government to address the concerns of the inhabitants of remote areas. He said that there is a need to improve road connectivity and medical facilities in the far-flung areas of J&K. He further urged the government to organize a special recruitment drive, especially in the Poonch area where the educated youth have no avenues to employment opportunities.

Senior PC leader Raja Aijaz Ali while speaking on the occasion said that the need of the hour is that the people of Jammu and Kashmir stand with PC President Sajad Lone and help him realize his grand vision for the progress of the state and protect the rights and dignity of its people.

He said that Peoples Conference will usher in a new era of economic and infrastructure development for this landlocked region and that the concerns of the people of Poonch would be addressed on priority if the party comes to power.
