Kargil: Hundreds of Angwadi workers today staged protest against the Government in Kargil pressing for fulfillment of their demands.

The protest started from Auditorium Hall Kargil and the protestors marched through Khomeini Chowk towards Deputy Commissioner Kargil office.

The protesters were demanding release of pending dues from the government, promotion and regularization.

Meanwhile deputy Commissioner has assured them to take up their issues with the higher authorities.

An Anganwadi worker Nargis Banoo said that they have been continuously protesting but government is ignoring their demands.

“Our fellow workers have been protesting in Srinagar for last two years but the demands are not being heard,” she added

The protesters said that they continue strike until their demands would not be fulfilled.
