Pensioners shouldn’t heed ‘false propaganda’ to visit offices for pension: Social Welfare Dept

Srinagar: The Directorate of Social Welfare (DSW) Kashmir Sunday alleged that “false propaganda is being spread with respect to the department asking for physical presence of beneficiaries to get pension.”

In a statement here, DSW Kashmir informed that in lieu with Jammu and Kashmir Integrated Social Security Rules 2022, application for grant of pension under Integrated Social Security Scheme shall be submitted online and beneficiaries no longer require to visit departmental offices.

It further informed that the department has already shifted to electronic mode of fund transfer whereby the beneficiaries are provided financial assistance through online mode directly into their bank accounts and are not required to visit any of the offices in this regard.
