During the three sessions, ten presentations were given by the participating departments wherein officers presented an overview of schemes offered under multiple eligible standards to the beneficiaries for establishing income-generating units & progressive farming.

The officers also shared information about the present statistics and figures of beneficiaries and contributions to the state economy by successful entrepreneurs. Besides, detailed stepwise procedures in establishing units and farming activities and financial interventions of the government were explained to the participants.

The motive of the workshop was to bring all the departments under a single umbrella so that the officers of every department shall remain acquainted with the schemes offered by every other department so they will help and handhold aspiring beneficiaries in acquiring the advantage. The participants were educated regarding financial assistance, seed capital, and shares provided by departments under CSS with the breakup of GoI share, UT share, and beneficiaries share in establishing micro and small units besides subsidy shares, and low-interest rates.

Also, information regarding support for entrepreneur units and field machinery, commercial avenues, and market support intervention was also provided to them.

During the programme, several entrepreneurs shared their success stories which motivated others to adopt schemes to create entrepreneurship units in the sectors.

Among others, the workshop was attended by Additional Commissioner Kashmir, Qazi Sarwar; Directors of participating departments, district officers, field functionaries, and progressive farmers and entrepreneurs.
