Srinagar: Rashtriya Ekta Diwas/National Unity Day was today observed at Divisional Commissioner (Div Com) Kashmir’s office in remembrance of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.
Besides, Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Pandurang K Pole, Additional Commissioners Kashmir, Assistant Commissioner Central, and Deputy Director Planning, all the officers and officials took part in the Rashtriya Ekta Diwas pledge ceremony, an official press release informed.
It said on the occasion, participants pledged to dedicate themselves to preserving the unity, integrity, and security of the nation besides pledging to strive hard to spread this message among fellow countrymen.
“I also solemnly resolve to make my own contribution to ensure the internal security of my country,” the participants read in the oath.
