Hilal Rather visits Chadoora market, expresses sympathies with fire affected shop owners

Srinagar: Peoples Conference (PC) senior leader Hilal Ahmed Rather on Monday visited Chadoora market to express sympathies with those affected in the massive fire incident yesterday.

As per a statement issued to the media, he interacted with numerous shop, restaurant and other commercial establishment owners to assess the damage caused by the inferno and exhorted the LG and district administration to give adequate compensation to the affected.

On the occasion the affected shop owners gave a detailed account of the unfortunate incident to Hilal Rather. He said that the heart wrenching fire incident has caused massive destruction and adversely impacted the livelihoods of many families.

He sought a comprehensive package for the affected families and impressed upon the LG and district administration to reach out to the affected with adequate compensation and relief.

Rather assured the fire affected families that the party will take this matter up at all appropriate forums for their speedy redressal.
