“The ‘Back to Village’ programme offers a golden opportunity for the health department to cover all the population under the PM-JAY SEHAT scheme,” Secretary maintained while addressing the meeting.

He stressed Chief Medical Officers and other stakeholders to intensify IEC activities at the village level so that awareness is created at the grassroots level and more and more people take benefit from this revolutionary scheme.

“Back to Village is a festival of development in villages and provides the best opportunity for the government and the people to know each other better for the overall benefit of society. Health being one of the major concerns of everyone needs to be prioritized particularly issuance of golden cards,” Secretary added.

Notably, Poonch, Anantnag, Kulgam, Ganderbal, Pulwama, Shopian and Samba were 100% saturated where at least one member of every family has received a golden card.

It is worth mentioning that State Health Agency has already launched various innovative programmes like Goan Goan Ayushman, door-to-door mobilization and group-specific drives so that a maximum number of people can benefit from the Ayushman SEHAT scheme.

Secretary directed the CMOs to share daily report of golden card registration with the administrative department.

CEO, SHA, Ayushi Sudan, Director Finance Health and Medical Education Department, Director Health Services, both Jammu and Kashmir, Chief Medical Officers, Joint Director Planning H&ME, State Nodal officer, SHA, and other officials attended the meeting.
