Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference on Tuesday said that the youth of Kashmir have to play a critical role and shoulder responsibilities in the ongoing struggle for the restoration of JK people’s abridged democratic and constitutional rights.

This was, according to the NC spokesperson, stated by YNC President Salman Ali Sagar while addressing the party’s youth functionaries from the Central Zone. Among others YNC Central Zone President Mushtaq Ahmed Mir, YNC Provincial members Abid Wani, Irfan Zehgeer, Sheikh Ovais, District President Srinagar Bilal Ahmed Ganaie, Hashim Hussain, Fazil Bhat were present on the occasion.

Exhorting the party youth leaders, Salman said the party’s youth wing is propelled by the vision of Sher-e-Kashmir and boasts the much-needed will and strength to impact the future. “We are committed to empowering the youth in Jammu and Kashmir. Infusing trust among our youth remains a daunting challenge, which the incumbent government has failed to hit. In these circumstances, YNC has a pivotal role to play and walk shoulder to shoulder with our youth and spare no effort to raise issues concerning them,” he said.

Salman said JKNC’s recently concluded Membership Drive had seen unprecedented participation by the youth and this was an indication of a groundswell of support for the party’s vision and integrity.
