JAK LI Regimental Centre organises 25th Battalion Commanders’ Biennial Conference, 7th Reunion

Srinagar: The JAK LI Regimental Centre organised its 25th Battalion Commanders’ Biennial Conference and 7th Reunion at Srinagar from Sep 19-21, 2022. 

“Chaired by Lt Gen MK Das, GOC MB Area and Col of the JAK LI Regiment, the regimental event was attended by a number of serving and veteran officers, JCOs and Other Rank,” said PRO (Defence), Srinagar.

“The Reunion commenced with a solemn wreath-laying ceremony at the War Memorial in recognition of the supreme sacrifices of the fallen heroes of the Regiment. All ranks of the Regimental Centre including the veterans paid their homage to the Bravehearts,” the PRO said.

The PRO further said: “The occasion also included a spectacular band display, a revisit to the glorious history of the Regiment at the Museum and Hall of Fame, a visit to all institutes, interaction and an exchange of thoughts among serving & veteran officers and men. To commemorate the event, a Volleyball match was also organised to instil a sense of brotherhood, bonhomie and competitive spirit.”

“In an endeavour to recognise the valuable contributions, veterans, veer naris, and gallantry awardees were felicitated for their commitment and sacrifice in the line of duty. Sub & Hony Capt Sansar Chand, Maha Vir Chakra of the Regiment, also graced the occasion and motivated all ranks. The celebrations culminated with greater resolve and assurance by the Colonel Of the Regiment to all ranks, veterans and veer naris for continued assistance & all-around excellence of the Regiment,” he said.

“The Colonel of the Regiment also exhorted special emphasis on the 10-year roadmap of the Regiment towards overall development through the highest level of training, professionalism & outreach to veterans, veer naris, and gallantry awardees. He also extended sincere thanks and gratitude to all attendees and wished them and the Regiment greater glories in the future,” he added.
