Srinagar: A gang of burglars broke into various houses in Sector J, Iram Lane, Budshah Nagar in Srinagar during the intervening night of July 10th and 11th and stole jewellery items and other valuables worth lakhs of rupees.
The incident has caused fear and distress among the local residents. “The burglars broke into our house when we weren’t home and stole valuable items worth lakhs of rupees. My family members, as well as neighbours, are in shock and constant state of worry,” complained a local resident.
The residents have informed the police about the incident, however, “the thieves are still at large”. They said: “We are hopeful that police will nab the burglars soon to restore peace and calm in the locality.”
