SRINAGAR: With a view to take stock of the J&K Bank’s preparation for providing the banking services to the devotees during Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra – 2022, MD & CEO Baldev Prakash visited the Baltal base-camp near Sonamarg along with General Manager Tabassum Nazir and other senior officers.

Commenting on the occasion, MD & CEO Baldev Prakash said, “I feel happy to see that besides facilitating smooth registration of the Yatris through dedicated assistance counters at our designated business units across the country, we have established an elaborate and easily accessible system to provide them all banking services and facilities especially from base-camps to the holy cave.”

“With public-convenience at the heart of our service ethos, we have put in place many Special Counters, Mobile ATM Vans and Micro-ATMs along the Yatra-route to provide basic banking facilities easily to the pilgrims along with cash-collection facility at the holy cave itself,” MD added.

Wishing all the devotees well for their upcoming journey, he reiterated the Bank’s commitment to provide them all the requisite banking facilities and services during the Yatra.

In addition to providing the Internet Payment Gateway (IPG) for online registration of country-wide Yatra permits this year, the Bank has also established special ticket-counters equipped with ATM facility at four helipad stations meant for air-lifting of Yatris in choppers with special provision for VIPs. The Bank will facilitate online as well as offline tickets to the properly registered Yatris at these suitably manned counters.

In case of cancellation, the registered Yatris can also get their chopper-tickets instantly refunded from these Bank counters. On the instructions of Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board, the Bank has provided ten donation boxes for placement at the bank counters while displaying QR Codes also for secure online donations for the shrine at these sites.

Notably, with Yatra about to begin from 30th June, J&K Bank alone has so far registered over 62000 devotees from across the country. The Yatra is scheduled to take place for 43 days till 11th of August, 2022. Notably, the Bank has established counters at 90 designated business units for registration, which will remain open till 4th August, 2022.

Meanwhile, during the visit MD also interacted with few prominent hoteliers of Sonamarg and assured them of Bank’s complete support for tourism and its affiliated businesses.
