Baramulla: Despite the tall claims of the government about improving health care in rural hospitals and PHCs of far flung areas, a patient at Sub District Hospital Pattan on Tuesday was provided a blood examination report without taking any samples.
Muzamil Rashid of Buran Pattan told Kashmir Images that he felt severe pain in his hand and he was rushed to Sub District Hospital Pattan for checkup under Ticket No 132717 where doctors advised him to undergo some blood tests.
Muzamil paid Rs 160 under receipt no 24328 and the laboratory assistant provided him test reports without taking blood samples.
“The lab assistant provided me test report within few minutes and doctor suspected the report and went to the lab himself to verify. He found that report was given without collecting blood test which was shocking,” he said.
Sources said that the doctor informed BMO Pattan Dr Masarat Iqbal who immediately issued suspension orders to the Lab Assistant.
