Srinagar: Jammu Kashmir Apni Party (JKAP) President Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari on Wednesday extended his warm greetings to the people especially Kashmiri Pandits on the eve of Mela Kheer Bhawani which is being observed at the historic temple of central Kashmir’s Tulmulla Today.

In his message, Bukhari said, “This festival has been significant for the communal harmony and brotherhood in Kashmir for centuries, and it symbolizes the pluralistic ethos of the people of the Valley. Kashmiris irrespective of their religious beliefs have been celebrating this annual Mela with togetherness for centuries.”

“My heartfelt greetings to the people, especially the Pandit brethren on this spiritual festival,” he added.

The JKAP leader appealed to the Pandit community to pray for the sustained peace and prosperity of Jammu and Kashmir during this religious event.

He urged the administration to ensure adequate arrangements for the devotees are in place.
