The girls, sources said, have registered an FIR against the frisking staff in a local police station in Jammu, sources said.

Meanwhile, senior Congress leader and MLA, Asgar Karbalai, while condemning the incident said that attempts are being made to polarize the situation in the state and the state government watches as a mute spectator.

Both Karbali and Nasir Munshi asked the concerned authorities to book those who tried to humiliate these girls by attacking their traditional attire.
