Poonch: A 52-year-old man was mauled by a bear in the higher reaches of Phagsar in Poonch district on Sunday, officials said.
As per the officials, the man identified as Mohammad Bashir, son of Habib Joo, a resident of Dhara village in tehsil Mandi of Poonch district, was grazing his livestock when the bear attacked him leaving him injured.
Locals evacuated him to Sub District Hospital Mandi for treatment from where he was referred to District Hospital Poonch for specialised treatment.
