Srinagar, May 6 : JRL on Sunday called people to move towards civil secretariat tomorrow and stage peaceful protests against what it called ‘brutal’ nonstop killing of civilians.

In a tweet, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, Chairman Hurriyat conference and one of the members of the JRL which also includes Syed Ali Gleena and Mirwaiz said the protest strike will continue till the brutal killings are not stopped.

“Words fail to express the pain of the tragedy unfolding in #Shopian as the count of the brutally killed by Indian forces keeps rising!,” Mirwaiz said in a tweet, adding, “Tomorrow as the “Durbar“of our killers opens in Srinagar, leadership and people from all walks, traders, lawyers, students, employees and others will move towards civil secretariat and will sit in a peaceful dharna till the daily carnage is not stopped. The protest strike will continue (JRL).”
