Rotary MHC records 849 surgeries in three days

SRINAGAR: The Rotary Club of India conducted eight hundred forty-nine surgeries in a span of three days of Mega Health Camp (MHC).

The renowned international surgeons from across the country are conducting surgeries of different fields including general, gynecological, ENT, Urology, ophthalmic, orthopedic surgeries and dental procedures.

During the three days of MHC, 313 surgeries were performed at GMC Baramulla, 212 SDH Sopore, 174 District Hospital, Ganderbal and 150 at District Hospital Kupwara.

Out of a total 849 operations and procedures, 318 surgeries were performed only today.

The MHC will continue till May 18, 2022 across three District.

During the Kashmir Mega medical project of Rotary Club of India, thousands of people visited the surgery camps to avail the benefits.

The patients visiting those camps hailed the initiative that helped them to obtain free treatment and appreciated the facilities provided by the concerned administrations.

A multi-speciality surgical treatment has been planned for this camp in which a team of 43 renowned International surgeons and Rotary volunteers together, hope to perform over 3000 major surgeries.

The Additional Human Resource of 500 persons in the form of doctors, paramedics and support staff for the camp shall be deployed from the Directorate of Health Services Kashmir for this project. Ok
