“The people belonging to SC and ST communities are facing the worst kind of discrmination with regard to development in this village, floating the claims of the Govt of equal development,” he said.

He said that “The Govt of India’s welfare and developmental schemes have not reached these places where SC/ST communities live. The marginalized section of society must be provided all the facilities and equally be treated in the society.”

He said that “The officials who are responsible for implementing the Govt schemes on the ground should be held accountable for their failure in implementing the scheme which has no existence on the ground.”

He said that this is happening because there is no elected Govt in J&K.

“Elected Govt must redress public issues as the Govt officials are not answerable to the people and hence, these issues are being confronted by the people in general in every nook and corner despite claims that equitable development is taking place and welfare/developmental schemes being implemented on the ground. Contrary to the claims made by the Govt, there is neither development nor any grievances redressal mechanism at the village level leaving the people in distress and alienated from the Govt,” he said.

He however assured the people that the Apni Party will leave no stone unturned to project the demands of the people before the concerned authorities like construction of approach road to the above said village, lanes-drains issues, improvement in drinking water supply and electricity supply.
