Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir on Monday recorded 104 fresh cases of novel coronavirus, taking the total number of infected people to 4,52,410, while one death due to the virus was reported in the past 24 hours, officials said.

Out of the fresh cases, 85 were from the Jammu division and 19 from the Kashmir division of the Union territory, they said.

The officials said Doda district recorded the highest of 29 cases followed by 24 cases in Kishtwar.

With one more death from Kashmir division, the death toll due to the pandemic stands at 4,747.

Moreover, 360 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and were discharged from various hospitals including 187 from Kashmir and 173 from Jammu division in the last 24 hours, officials said.

Meanwhile, officials said there were 51 confirmed cases of mucormycosis (black fungus) in the Union territory as no fresh case was reported since Sunday evening.

On vaccination, the daily media bulletin on novel coronavirus informed that 19,691 doses of COVID vaccine were administered in the last 24 hours bringing the cumulative number of doses administered so far across J&K to 2,13,74,402.

According to the bulletin, out of 4,52,410 positive cases recorded cumulatively in Jammu and Kashmir, currently there are 1,692 active positive cases in the UT, including 942 in Jammu division and 750 in Kashmir, while as 4,45,971 persons have recovered and 4,747 have died – 2,423 in Kashmir and 2,324 in Jammu division.

Providing district-wise breakup for positive cases reported today, the bulletin said that Srinagar reported 12 cases, Baramulla four cases, Kupwara and Anantnag reported one and two cases respectively, while as no fresh case was reported from Budgam, Pulwama, Bandipora, Ganderbal, Kulgam and Shopian districts.

Similarly, Jammu reported 13 cases, Udhampur reported 12 cases, Rajouri  two cases, Doda reported 29 cases, Kathua three cases, Samba one case, Kishtwar reported 24 cases and Ramban reported one new case while as no fresh cases were reported from Poonch and Reasi districts.
