Srinagar: The first meeting of Jamia Alumni Association (JK Chapter) was held on 28th April 2018 at University of Kashmir, Srinagar.
The convener of the group, in a statement issued here said that this was a preliminary initiative by old students of Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi to assemble and forge a platform so that their collective efforts could be used for the betterment of the society in terms of its socio-economic and educational development.
The members decided to call upon all the ex-students of Jamia to enrol themselves with the Jamia Alumni Association (JK Chapter).
“This apolitical platform would strive to provide guidance and counselling to the students interested to pursue various professional and non-professional courses at Jamia and other universities. Besides, the forum would also provide career guidance to the interested students,” said the statement.
