Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference on Tuesday called out Apni Party for playing on both sides of the fence, saying it’s foul play has come out in the open with its youth President’s participation in the “Real Estate Summit”.

While accusing Apni Party of putting up a false front and speaking with a forked tounge, party Spokesperson said that the resentment shown by Apni Party against the Real Estate Summit is in name only and as a matter of fact the party is working hand in gloves with the powers that be to dispossess Kashmiris of their land, job, and cultural rights.

“It had all started with normalizing the August 5 decisions. Since then the Apni Party has resolutely been helping BJP, RSS in fulfilling its political project as their pliant political operatives. Participation of Apni Party’s youth president in the summit lay bare how closely in cahoots they are with them. They are playing on both sides of the fence. Duplicity and treachery is written all over their faces,” the spokesperson said.

One day he and his party dismiss the articles as done and dusted and on another day cry over their erosion. Similarly on one hand they oppose putting JK land resources for sale and show up on the high tables of powers that are contriving to dispossess our people. They cannot run with the hair and hunt with the hounds. People know what they are up to. Their mask has slipped yet again,” he said.

Denouncing the theatrics played by Apni Party, the spokesperson said: “such gimmicks ring hollow with the people of J&K and added that such attempts to hoodwink and beguile the people of Jammu and Kashmir will prove abortive.”
