Baramulla, Apr 27: A teacher has been arrested o charges of raping and impregnating a 17-years-old student in Kreeri area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
Reports said that the family of a class 11th student of Keeri area of Pattan approached police for a case against the teacher, after they were informed by the doctors that the said teacher had brought their daughter to the hospital for abortion.
Acting over the complaint, police registered a case (FIR no. 22/2018), under section 376, 315 RPC and arrested the teacher Sheraz Ahmad Zargar, who is accused of raping and impregnating the girl. .
SSP Baramulla Mir Imtiyaz Hussain while confirming that the teacher has been arrested, said charge-sheet in this regard will be produced before court in due course of time.
“A case has been registered. Accused is behind bars and is on remand by competent court. Charge-sheet will be produced before court soon,” SSP informed.
