Srinagar: The Crime Branch Kashmir on Monday arrested a man from Qazigund area of south Kashmir’s Kulgam for selling fake and duplicate fungicides in the Valley; he had been absconding for 11 years.
As per a CBK statement, the accused Mohammad Yousf Bhat, son of Sonaullah Bhat of Qazigund, was among 11 persons involved in case FIR 21/1995 U/S 420,483 of P/S CBK for sale of fake and duplicate fungicides in Valley.
The chargesheet in the instant case was filed in the court on July 30, 1998. However, Bhat, during the trial was absconding and was evading arrest since 2010, for which warrant U/S 512 CrPC was issued by the Court of City Judge Srinagar, the CBK statement said.
After his arrest, Bhat was produced before the court, which later on sent him to judicial custody.
