Baramulla: Police arrested a teacher for allegedly raping and then illegally attempting to terminate the pregnancy of an 11th standard student in North Kashmir’s Baramulla district, reports said.
Reports further said that the alleged teacher, Identified as Sheraz Ahmad Zargar, a resident of Keeri area of Baramulla district, who also happens to be the neighbor of the victim, allegedly took the girl to a hospital for abortion.
SSP Baramulla, Imtiyaz Hussain, confirmed that the accused has been arrested and an FIR has been lodged in the case.
