Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir on Friday reported 174 fresh cases of Covid-19, with four deaths due to the virus in the past 24 hours, officials said.
The new cases took the total number of infected till now to 336,237.
Of the fresh cases, 131 were reported from Kashmir and 43 from the Jammu division of the union territory, the officials said.
The Srinagar district recorded the highest number of cases at 63 followed by 23 cases in Baramulla district, they said.
There are 1719 active cases in the union territory, while the number of recovered patients stood at 320048, the officials said.
The till date death toll in the union territory due to pandemic reached 4470 with four deaths – three in Kashmir and one in Jammu division — in last 24 hours.
Officials also said 157 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and were discharged from various hospitals including 131 from Kashmir and 26 from Jammu division in the last 24 hours.
Meanwhile, the officials said, there were 49 active cases of Mucormycosis (black fungus) in the union territory, though no new case was reported in last one day.
On vaccination, the daily media bulletin on novel coronavirus informed that 43,661 doses of COVID vaccine were administered in the last 24 hours bringing the cumulative number of doses administered across J&K so far to 1,64,79,902.
According to the bulletin, out of 3,36,237 positive cases recorded cumulatively thus far, currently there are 1,719 active positive cases across J&K including 1,455 in Kashmir and 264 in Jammu division, while as 3,30,048 persons have recovered and 4,470 have died – 2,285 in Kashmir division and 2,185 in Jammu division.
