Anantnag: Police on Tuesday arrested one person and recovered a pistol from a vehicle even as driver fled the spot.
A police official said that one person was arrested and is presently being questioned.
According to local news agency GNS, the official said that during routine naka checking at Arwani bridge on new national highway, a police party recovered one pistol from a vehicle.
“While the person detained is presently being questioned, the main culprit absconded from the spot along with vehicle and efforts are underway to trace him,” he said. (GNS)
