Dr Samoon sks for 100% enrolment in Government Polytechnics

SRINAGAR: Principal Secretary, Skill Development Department, Dr. Asgar Hassan Samoon, today reviewed the status of admission in the Government Polytechnic colleges during an officers meeting held here in this regard.

Principal Secretary had detailed deliberation with the Director SDD, Secretary BOTE and Principal of Polytechnics regarding the subject.

He asked the Principals of Government Polytechnics to ensure 100 per cent admission for the academic session 2021-22 upto 30th of November 2021, the last date for the admissions. He also directed for extending free of cost ‘add on courses’ for three months in CIIIT Jammu and Baramulla to the students seeking admission in Instrument and Control Course.

Principal Secretary asked the Principals to give wide publicity to ongoing admissions so as to encourage maximum admission of students in these Polytechnics. He also instructed the concerned for ensuring 50 per cent admission for female candidates in Polytechnics during the current session.

The meeting was attended by Principals of Government Polytechnics and senior officers of Skill Development Department.
