JeM Operational commander killed in Tral gunfight: DGP

Srinagar: Director General of Police SP Vaid on Thursday claimed that one of the militants killed in Tral forest gunfight was the operational commander of the Jaish-e-Muhammad outfit.

“Operational commander of JeM Mufti Yasir was among those killed in joint operation in upper reaches of Tral, ” Director General of Police SP Vaid tweeted.

Vaid also tweeted a picture of the slain commander alongside JeM chief Masood Azhar.

Pertinently, four JeM militants, an army soldier and a police man were killed in a gunfight in Lam forests of Tral on Tuesday.

While two among the slain were local residents, the other two according to police were foreigners.
