Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir recorded 110 fresh positive cases of novel coronavirus (COVID-19), even as two more people succumbed to the viral disease in the last 24 hours, officials said Tuesday.

They said of the fresh cases, 92 were reported from Kashmir and 18 from Jammu division, taking the total number of positive cases detected so far to 3,32,457. Both the COVID deaths were reported from Kashmir, officials said.

Moreover 91 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and were discharged from various hospitals including 76 from Kashmir and 15 from Jammu division, they said.

They also said no new case of mucormycosis (black fungus) was reported today.

On vaccination, the daily media bulletin informed that 99,958 doses of COVID vaccine were administered in the last 24 hours bringing the cumulative number of doses administered across J&K so far to 1,48,11,303.

According to the bulletin, out of 3,32,457 positive cases recorded cumulatively thus far, currently there are 916 active positive cases across J&K including 815 in Kashmir and 101 in Jammu division, while as 3,27,103 persons have recovered and 4,438 have died – 2,262 in Kashmir and 2,176 in Jammu division.
