J&K logs 4 more COVID-19 deaths, 98 fresh cases

Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir logged 98 fresh positive cases of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in the last 24 hours while four persons succumbed to the infection during this period, officials said Monday.

They said of the fresh cases, 84 were reported from Kashmir and 14 from Jammu division — taking the total number of positive cases in Jammu and Kashmir to 332,347. All the four fresh deaths were reported from Kashmir Valley, they said.

They also said 97 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and were discharged from various hospitals including 80 from Jammu division and 17 from Kashmir Valley in the last 24 hours.

No new case of mucormycosis (black fungus) was reported today, officials said.

On vaccination, the daily media bulletin informed that 81,657 doses of COVID vaccine were been administered in the last 24 hours bringing the cumulative number of doses administered across J&K so far to 1,47,15,244.

According to the bulletin, out of 3,32,347 positive cases detected so far, currently there are 899 active positive cases across the J&K, including 801 in Kashmir and 98 in Jammu division, while as  3,27,012 persons have recovered and 4436 have died – 2,260 in Kashmir and 2,176 in Jammu division.
