Srinagar: Police on Friday recovered a semi-decomposed body along Hajipeer rivulet in Uri in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
Quoting a police official, news agency GNS reported that the body was spotted by locals near a stream falling between Uri and Lagama town. Soon after being informed, a joint team of police and medical authorities reached the spot to recover the body from the site, the official said.
He said the body is in a semi-decomposed state and couldn’t be immediately identified, adding it is being taken to SDH Uri for DNA profiling.
