Police seeks help in identifying theft accused

Srinagar, Apr 24: Police on Tuesday sought help from general public to identify a person who it said was involved in “cheating and theft” case.

In a statement issued here, a police spokesperson while circulating the photograph of the accused “obtained from the CCTV footage”, said he was involved in a “cheating and theft” case at Kothibagh police station.

In this regard  a case (FIR 24/2018, under section 420, 379 RPC) stands registered in police station Kothibagh  and investigation is in going on, said the spokesperson.

In case of any information, spokesperson asked public to inform on telephone numbers: 9596770623 or PCR Srinagar on 0194-2477568 or Dial 100, while pledging that the antecedents of the person giving information “will be kept secret”.
