Registrar Dr Nisar A Mir, who chaired the condolence meeting, at the outset conveyed the Vice-Chancellor’s condolences to the bereaved family as well to the staff of EMRC. He later recalled Akthar’s contributions in the University as a graphic designer, especially on important occasions like annual convocations.

Dr Mir, while praying for eternal peace to the departed soul, expressed his heartfelt sympathies with the bereaved family on behalf of the University and said the administration is committed to do whatever possible for the welfare of the bereaved family.

Director EMRC and Media Advisor Dr Salima Jan also spoke on the occasion and recalled the professional life of Akthar Rasool in the University. She described Akther as a highly dedicated and capable employee whose demise has caused a deep void in the University in general and EMRC in particular.

Dr Salima said Akther Rasool would handle all his assignments in a highly professional manner and had the urge to do best for the institution’s image building and promotion.

President Kashmir University Ministerial Staff Association Hilal A Baba led the ‘fateha’ prayers for the departed soul.

The condolence meeting was attended by faculty members, officers, and non-teaching staff members of the University besides the entire staff of EMRC.
