Speaking on the occasion, Director Agriculture highlighted the importance of branding of Kashmiri products so that maximum returns could be fetched at different marketing platforms at international level.  He said that we are having a number of organic products like saffron for which a proper marketing strategy needs to be adopted on the global platform.

Sharing his views, Director APEDA Dr. Tarun Bajaj gave a detailed scenario of the present activities that are being carried out to promote the export of different agriculture and horticulture products from the Jammu and Kashmir UT.

He said that presently their focus is on the Middle East and South East Asia and therefore are trying to promote more products to the global marketing arena.

Some registered exporters present in the meeting also brought up their issues to the notice of APEDA and other concerned Departments and a threadbare discussion was held to address these issues.

The meeting was attended by Director APEDA Dr. Tarun Bajaj, DGM APEDA Davindar Prasad, Director Horticulture Planning and Marketing Dr. Vishesh Mahajan, Joint Director Horticulture, Joint Director Agriculture Extension, Registered Exporters of UT.
