Srinagar: Police in Budgam claimed to have solved a murder case by arresting 2 accused persons involved in the commission of crime.

“On 17 September 2021, Police Station Budgam received an information that some labourers indulge into physical argument at Brick Kiln 71B located at Labartal Budgam in which one labourer namely Maan Singh resident of Bagdar Shahjahanpur UP got seriously injured and was shifted to SMHS hospital Srinagar for treatment where he succumbed to his injuries,” said a police spokesperson.

“Accordingly, a case vide FIR No.297/2021 under relevant sections of law was registered in Police Station Budgam and investigation was taken up,” the spokesperson said.

“During the course of investigation, officers came to know that 02 accused were involved in the crime who were absconding after commission of offence. After strenuous efforts one accused person identified as Dinesh Singh son of Kali Caran resident of Bagdar Shahjahanpur UP was arrested from Nasrullapora Budgam. Meanwhile with the strenuous efforts of SHO Budgam, another accused identified as Roop Ram son of Ram Burase resident of Bagdar Shahjahanpur UP was arrested from Budgam Railway Station when he was trying to flee from District Budgam,” he said.

“Both the accused persons have been shifted to Police Station where they remain in custody. After fulfilling legal formalities the dead body will be handed over to family for last rites,” he added.
