Srinagar: Encounter broke out between security forces and militants at Noorbagh area of Srinagar on Saturday, officials said.
A police official told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that on the basis specific input, a search operation was launched in the Noorbagh area of city under the jurisdiction of police station Safa Kadal.
“When forces zeroed in on the suspected spot, the hiding militants opened fire triggering a gun battle,” the official said. Firing was on from both sides when last reports poured in—(KNO)
