Budgam: A youth from Beerwah locality of Central Kashmir’s Budgam district has converted a trunk into a refrigerator and is winning accolades for his unique innovation.
Syed Ubaid Bashir, hailing from Sodipora village of Beerwah has done diploma in electronics and communication from Kashmir Polytechnic College in Srinagar and he has been working on this project for the last several months.
Talking to Kashmir News Service (KNS), Ubaid said that necessity is the mother of invention as there was no refrigerator in their home and he had no other choice but to invent his own.
“As I have done diploma in electronics in communication, so I knew how to invent a refrigerator. I converted a trunk into the refrigerator, and it is working quite well. We did not have a refrigerator at home as we could not afford it, so I decided to invent one of my own,” Ubaid said.
He said that he got a lot of support from his parents in this endeavor, which helped him achieve this feat.
Ubaid said that he has several other projects at hand, however, if the government and local administration will provide him some support, he will be able to convert those projects into reality.
