J&K reports 135 new positive cases of COVID-19

Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday recorded 135 fresh cases of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) — 98 from Kashmir and 37 from Jammu division, taking the cumulative total of positive cases to 3,23,325.

The officials also said 156 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and were discharged from various hospitals in the past 24 hours. This included 92 persons from Kashmir and 64 from Jammu division.

They said so far 99.67 percent of population above the age of 45 years has been vaccinated across the Jammu and Kashmir.

One new confirmed case of Mucormycosis (black fungus) was also reported today, taking the total number of confirmed cases in J&K to 42.

According to the daily media bulletin on novel COVID-19), out of 3,23,325 positive cases recorded cumulatively so far, currently there are 1,303 positive cases in J&K, while as 3,17,627 persons have recovered and 4,395 have died – 2,239 in Kashmir and 2,156 in Jammu division.
